Divine Love

On our trip to New York in September, 2011, Mike and I ran into a very unusual person while filming for the “Religion Matrix” in front of St. George’s Cathedral. This man walked up to us as we were packing up our gear and asked if he could be on camera. He explained to us that he had just gotten out of prison and was out on the street. He believed he had been sent to prison unfairly, and wanted to tell people about it.

He introduced himself as “Divine Love,” a name he adopted for himself after he came to know Christ while in prison. Mike and I had actually prayed that God would lead us to someone in New York to put on camera, and we knew at that moment that Divine Love was that person.

New River Website Launch

Welcome to your new River Website! We are brand new, so not everything is in it’s place yet, and we’ll be working hard to add more content and information over the next few weeks.

The Podcasts section of the website will be a place where you can listen to a sermon you missed, or maybe you liked it so much you want to hear it a second or third time! You will also be able to subscribe to our podcast through iTunes. We don’t have all the plumbing connected yet, but podcasts will be coming online soon.

Overflow is a special section of the website where we’ll be telling the stories of The River. From time to time we’ll post a new story of what God is doing in and through The River. Our hope is that this will be an encouragement to us and our ministry partners as we see God at work.
